This Privacy Policy explains how TradeLikeAB LTD (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores and protects your personal data when you visit our website, buy our products, join the TradeLAB community or use TradeLAB OS.

We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who We Are

TradeLikeAB LTD is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16164467), registered office 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. We operate TradeLAB and TradeLAB OS.

TradeLikeAB LTD is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it at support@tradelikeab.com.

2. Personal Data We Collect

We may collect and process:

  • Identity information: name, username and Discord username and user ID
  • Contact information: email address
  • Billing information: purchase and subscription records (card details are handled by our payment providers; we never see or store full card numbers)
  • Account information: login details and membership status
  • Communication data: emails, Discord messages to our team, and support requests
  • Trading data you upload: trade history files and screenshots you submit for a TradeLAB OS Performance Report (see section 4)
  • Report data: the figures, scores and written analysis in your Performance Reports
  • Live session data: recordings and transcripts of TradeLAB live webinars and group calls
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and device information
  • Usage data: pages visited, content accessed and engagement data

Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • Provide our educational content, community and services
  • Verify your membership and give you access to the TradeLAB Discord
  • Produce and deliver the TradeLAB OS Performance Reports you request, including your progress over time
  • Record live sessions and produce recaps for members
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Communicate with you about your account, purchases and, where you’ve agreed, our emails
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve our website, content and user experience
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

4. TradeLAB OS Performance Reports

When you request a Performance Report, you upload your own trade history file or screenshots through the TradeLAB Discord.

What we process: the trades in your file (instrument, times, size, prices, profit and loss, and stop and target levels where included) or the figures visible in your screenshots. Please crop or cover account numbers and balances you don’t want us to see before uploading. Only upload data from accounts you own or are authorised to share.

How it is processed: our software calculates your figures automatically. We use an AI provider (Anthropic) to write the report text and, for screenshots, to read the figures from the images. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf and, under its commercial terms, does not use it to train its models. Every report is reviewed by AB before it is sent to you by Discord direct message.

Automated analysis: reports analyse your trading behaviour and give it a score (the Edge Score). This is educational feedback only. It is reviewed by a person and is not used to make any decision that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Who sees it: only you and AB. Reports are never shown to other members.

How long we keep it: uploaded files, screenshots and report PDFs are deleted 30 days after your report is completed. We keep a small set of summary figures from each report (for example your Edge Score, win rate, net P&L and rule-adherence counts, but no individual trades and no files) for up to 24 months, so your next report can show your progress. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Under UK GDPR, we process your personal data on these lawful bases:

  • Contract: to provide the membership, community access and Performance Reports you have bought or requested
  • Legitimate interests: to run, secure and improve our business, and to record live sessions so members can rewatch them
  • Legal obligation: to keep accounting and tax records and comply with the law
  • Consent: for marketing emails and non-essential cookies

You can withdraw consent at any time.

6. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

We share data only with service providers that help us run TradeLAB, who act on our instructions and must protect it:

  • Kajabi: website, courses, checkout and email
  • Payment processors: taking payments
  • Discord: community platform and report delivery
  • Railway: hosting our systems and database
  • Anthropic: AI analysis for Performance Reports, call recaps and call notes
  • Fathom: recording and transcribing live sessions
  • Google Workspace: business email
  • Analytics and security providers

We may also share data where required by law, or to protect our rights, for example when enforcing our Terms of Service.

7. International Transfers

Some of our providers are based in, or store data in, the United States and other countries outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK–US data bridge, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or other protections recognised under UK law.

8. Data Storage & Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. Access is restricted to authorised people, accounts are protected with two-step verification, and uploaded trade data is deleted on the schedule in section 4.

9. Data Retention

  • Uploaded trade files, screenshots and report PDFs: 30 days after the report is completed
  • Report summary figures: up to 24 months, or until you ask us to delete them
  • Account and membership data: while you are a member, then as long as needed to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
  • Purchase and billing records: 6 years, as required for UK accounting and tax
  • Live session recordings: while they are available to members in the member area
  • Live session transcripts and AI call notes: up to 24 months, then deleted. Raw notifications from our recording provider are cleared after 30 days

When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

10. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data, including your report summary figures
  • Restrict processing of your data
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Request data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

11. Cookies

We use essential cookies to make the website work. With your consent, we also use analytics and marketing cookies to understand how the site is used. You choose which to allow in the cookie banner when you first visit, and you can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link or your browser settings.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
